Without a French bank account, it's impossible to connect utilities, obtain Carte Vitale, receive medical reimbursements, enroll children in school cafeteria, or submit CAF assistance applications.
Even with rejections — a bank is required to open an account for you. We use the Droit au compte procedure through Banque de France.
How Droit au compte Works
Within a few weeks, Banque de France will assign you a bank, and the chosen institution must open an account — without the right to refuse for reasons such as:
- Temporary protection (APS / protection temporaire)
- Lack of French language
- Lack of stable income
- Insufficient documentation level
Result
You receive a full bank account, card, French RIB — and can finally connect utilities, obtain Carte Vitale and receive all social and administrative services.
