The Salarié long-stay visa and residence permit are intended for foreign nationals planning to work in France under an employment contract. We handle applications filed through the French consulate, as well as the issue or change of status within France where this is provided for by law.
The permit grants the right to work in France for the employer named in the work authorisation. The employment contract may be a CDI or a CDD.
Validity Period
Salarié permit can be issued for up to 4 years. In practice:
- Initially — 1-year permit
- Then 4-year renewal when meeting integration conditions

- Four-day course on Republic values and French history
